Spring Chapter Meeting

Join us May 2nd at the DCPTA Spring Member Meeting
and Special Presentation - LGBTQ Inclusive Care - Transforming Professional Practice

* DCPTA was notified this morning that there has been confusion with the licensing boards on how  they will be implementing the new LGBTQ training requirement. The DCPTA Chapter had been given information that we could host a course to meet the requirement and that it needed to be 2 credit hours.

TODAY we were notified by the DC Board of Physical Therapy, which regulates the practice of PT in the District, that they have moved the requirement from 2019 to 2021. Because of this, they now cannot guarantee that the course tonight will count for the 2021 requirement until they meet as a board next week to formally discuss and approve.

HOWEVER, THE DC Board of Physical Therapy is meeting next week to make a decision on this. At a minimum the course tonight will count for two credit hours. DCPTA has advocated on behalf of everyone attending tonight and will notify everyone as soon as we hear more from the Board.
